My Camry runs great, I've driven it 16k+ miles since last year. This truck has a 4 speed transmission with a two speed rear. Does anyone have any idea's of what may be wrong. This engine is from a 1954 power glide and has a high pressure oil system. It has a 1958 Chevy car 6 cylinder motor that was in really great shape when it was parked and the restoration began. The rarest of the Aerosedans.
Wood in the bed is in good. This truck runs and drives as good as a stock 46 should drive. It does not grind or make any other noises, just keeps slipping out of gear. Paint is in very nice condition as is the interior of the truck. It has an inline 235 high pressure 6 cylinder. Are the shift forks available some where, or is finding a useable one the only option? I bought it from a neighbor that had it in his barn for at least 15 years. It sat around for over a year until I recently put a brand new battery in it and have started to drive it. Has new fiberglass floor panel. I have not worked on a transmission before but I think I could do it if necessary.

Inside of trunk, floor and floor boards are very solid. Body is covered in surface rust but it is just surface rust. .
