Jerry is at the door struggling to get in as he is still injured from the undercover opp he was on weeks ago. Malkin tells him that they do not know. If he attempts to do so again, that will be considered a hostile act. Steve is back on the sub wanting more answers from the acting commander. Danny asks if their contracts are a joke.
It is typical for the premiere and the finale to be heart stoppers full of fun, action, comedy, and surprises, but this one was not typical for the most part. Upon the others asking him what he is doing, Junior lets them know that Steve is signaling the Russians with the flags asking them if they want to talk. Malkin says that he heard that Petrov suffered some kind of tragedy when he was a child and he thinks that perhaps Petrov has just snapped. He then tells the others that Steve wants Danny to name the restaurant after him. Kamekona tells them no, they can keep just the cash. Steve meets a woman who helps him reopen his late father's last unsolved case, Kono Kalakua and Chin are taken hostage while undercover in the black market world of priceless art, Steve is kidnapped by Wo Fat and in the aftermath of his daughter's kidnapping, Lou Grover becomes more accepting of the team's less-than-upstanding tactics to keep the islands safe. And if this is a rogue mission, they are authorized to do whatever it takes to get them to move.
That person was taking pain pills when the accident happened. This of course attracts everyone on the beach. At that time, Kamekona, Flippa and Nahele enter with two suitcases. Malkin is surprised that they found this out. Meanwhile, Danny's car is stolen while he is out with his kids and he commandeers a bus to chase down the thieves. Kamekona suggests that he put it on speaker and as Steve is walking out, Danny asks why he would put that call on speaker. Danny asks if he has any idea what Petrov is doing there. Steve tells him that it was a guess.
Junior asks what is going on and Steve tells them that four days prior, there was a mutiny at sea on this foreign vessel. The opening credits roll for the final time this season and when we return, the police, military and Five-0 arrive. Steve asks where the captain is and he is shown. Danny answers an incoming call from Steve on his cell, letting Lou, Tani and Junior know who it is. Tani lets them know that McGarrett is not answering his phone. Steve is watching Rachael Ray on his laptop at the restaurant. Steve questions what they need licensing rights for and Nahele tells them cookbooks, sauces, pasta.
None of the four on the beach are happy with that revelation. Malkin lets him know that he will do everything that he can to help but at the same time, his hands are tied with Moscow. The truck is apparently being manned by a criminal they are chasing. Lou wants to know why he is there saying he just got out of the hospital a couple of days ago. Meanwhile, Kono and Adam are threatened and tortured by Gabriel; and Danny shows concern for Steve regarding Catherine's return to the island. As Steve and Danny are walking off the grounds, Danny says that was a complete waste of time and questioned how Steve knew that Malkin had a side piece.
The season finale episode took McGarrett right into the heart of the sex trafficking ring. Back on the sub, Steve finally meets up with a man named Vasili Shirokov, acting commander of the ship. It's a high side of thrills in 25 action-packed episodes that you don't want to miss. This is something that they have been following since the start of this season. Malkin tells him that Petrov does not have any contacts on the island that they are aware of.
Before they walk out, Malkin stops them telling Steve that his govt. At the Russian Federation Consulate in Honolulu: Danny and Steve are speaking with a representative, Nikolai Malkin who apologizes from his government for the situation that they currently find themselves in. Flippa tells him that with every successful restaurant side projects are what generates more profit than the actual brick and mortar. On the beach, five kayakers are going along in the water towards the beach and are greeted with a Russian submarine coming up from the water. Inside the sub, Steve is brought past many Russian crew members. Danny informs the trio that there is not going to be any cookbooks.
Panicking in typical Danny style. Tani makes a call and Lou tells them that the Governor now wants Steve off of that sub. To which he shakes his head negatively. He unholsters his gun, places it in the raft, turns around to show them that he has no other weapons on him and then a fourth soldier appears dropping down a ladder. Finally Steve gives in and pauses his video to give Danny the floor. Lou tells them that Petrov left them a bread crumb. The Russians were on the island, so to speak, and that caused some activity that the team had to address.
